In a gripping Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) Quarterfinal, the Night Hawks faced off against the Mobile Rams on Thursday afternoon. The match concluded with a dramatic 1-1 draw, but the Rams advanced after winning in a tension-filled shootout.

Despite trailing 0-1 at halftime, the Night Hawks showcased resilience and determination. Kaitlyn Herb ignited hope among Thomas supporters by scoring a dramatic equalizer at the 86th minute mark of the second half, ultimately pushing the game into a high-stakes shootout. Herb's outstanding performance featured 11 shots, with 4 on target, making her a key player in Thomas' offensive efforts.

During the penalty shootout, participants including Elsebeth Andersen, Pearl Mortimer, Ali Baca, Thórsteina Árnadóttir, and Sasha Manders represented Thomas bravely. Noteworthy contributions also came from Emily Lamoreaux who delivered critical saves which kept the scores level during regular play.
