TIFTON, Ga. - In a display of skill and teamwork, the Night Hawks notched their sixth straight win in a 9-1 victory against the Abraham Baldwin Fillies on Thursday afternoon. The match saw the Night Hawks outplay the Fillies going into the half with a score of 6-1.
Pearl Mortimer was the standout player for Thomas, notching a hat-trick, assist and securing the game-winning goal early in the contest.
Kaitlyn Herb added to the scoring with a goal of her own.
Nike Henschel scored her first career goals as a Night Hawk with a brace,
Jule Rohleder,
Madelyn Musgrove, and
Hannah Henriksen also got in on the scoring as well, Showing Night Hawks' offensive prowess. Henriksen, Rohleder,
Elsebeth Andersen, and
Jarica Lawrence all registered assists, aiding in the victory.
The keeper duties were split between
Kennedi Warren-Young in the first half and
Niamh Curzons in the second, Warren-Young had one save while Curzons had seven, combined they only allowed one goal in the contest.
Looking ahead, the Night Hawks close out the regular season on Saturday, October 26th at 11:00 am against No. 5-ranked UT Southern at the TU Soccer Complex.
