MONTGOMERY, Ala. –
Kaitlyn Herb of Thomas (Ga.) was named SSAC Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week and Ebba Elweroth of Mobile (Ala.) was named SSAC Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, the conference office announced Monday.
The awards are based on performance for the week of Oct. 7-13.
Kaitlyn Herb (Thomas – SO – FWD – Daytona Beach, Fla.)
- This is her second-career honor
- Herb totaled five goals in a 2-0 week, beating Point 4-2 and Faulkner 3-2. The three teams are fighting for spots in the SSAC Women's Soccer Championship
- The sophomore posted a hat trick, including the game-winner, v. Point and then added a pair of goals in the one-goal win over Faulkner
Ebba Elweroth (Mobile – SR – GK – Helsingborg, Sweden)
- This is her second-career weekly honor
- Elweroth allowed only one goal and made 13 saves in an 0-1-1 road week for the Rams
- The highlight was an eight-save shutout in a scoreless draw with No. 6 Life
