Night Hawks Fall Short Against the Fire

LAKELAND, FL- The Thomas University Men's Soccer team fought a hard battle against Southeastern University, but ultimately fell short against the Fire on Sunday afternoon. 

 

The Fire (2-0-0, 0-0-0) were held without a point for the entirety of the first half by the Night Hawks (1-1-0, 0-0-0). Southeastern's Roque Viegas Jr. was able to overcome the Night Hawk's relentless defense, led by junior Alex Ruane , in the 62th minute of the match. 

 

In total, the Night Hawks finished the day with five total shots with two on goal and a total of four corner kicks. The Fire recorded eleven total shots with one on goal and one corner kick. Southeastern's Henrique Cavalini totaled two saves.

 

NEXT UP: The Night Hawks are set to play their home opener on Thursday September 7th against SCAD- Savannah. Kickoff is scheduled for 4pm.
