THOMASVILLE, GA- The Thomas University Men's Soccer team (3-2-1, 0-1-1) hosted the 9th ranked University of Mobile (2-2-2, 1-0-1) in a SSAC match-up Saturday evening.
In the first period both teams' defenses would hold their own and keep either offense from scoring. Thomas would tally two shots compared to Mobile's one. Neither would record a shot on goal in the 1st.
In the second period both teams' offenses would desperately try to find the goal that would ignite their team. As a result, Mobile would take six shots with one on goal, and Thomas would take five with three on goal. However both teams' goalies would remain perfect on the day. Thomas' Jorge Gonzalez would record one save, while Mobiles Ty Turner would record three. This resulted in a 0-0 draw.Â
The Night Hawks finished the day with a total of seven shots with three on goal and a total of three corner kicks. The Rams recorded seven total shots with one on goal and one corner kick.Â
NEXT UP: The Night Hawks are set to play a non conference game Saturday September 23rd at Florida National University. Kickoff is scheduled for 11:00am.
