THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team split a pair of games with Madonna University on Saturday, winning the first, 5-3, but falling, 3-0, in the second at Varnedoe Stadium.

On Friday, Madonna won both games of the double header.

The Night Hawks are now 8-14 overall.
Â
Thomas is back in action on Tuesday, facing Brewton-Parker College in Mount Vernon, Ga. Time of the first pitch will be determined at a later date.

Game One
Madonna plated one run in the top of the first, but Thomas answered in the bottom of the frame as
Bradley Fleenor drove in Matthew Delay, Jr., on an RBI single.

Jose Class Jr. hit a three-run bomb, his first homerun of the season, in the fourth to put the Night Hawks ahead, 4-1.

Madonna added one run in the fifth, but again, TU countered in the next half inning, as Fleenor doubled, plating
Cam Williams.
Â
Madonna's solo homer in the sixth ended the scoring, as the Night Hawks won, 5-3, in seven innings.
Â
Delay was 3-for-4 and Fleenor went 2-for-2 with a pair of RBI, a drawn walk and a run scored.
Â
AJ Wydra went the distance on the mound, striking out three while allowing three runs from seven hits in 7.0 innings.

Game Two
In the second game, Madonna scored two runs in the fourth then added one in the top of the seventh to take home a 3-0 win.

The Night Hawks left a pair of runners on base in the second and third innings, and stranded six total runners for the game.

Four Night Hawks connected on a base hit for TU,

Cam Williams,
Khadin Bastian and
Kason Buie.

Riley Fisher was tagged with the loss, striking out four, but giving up two runs, both unearned, from a pair of hits, two walks and one HBP in 6.0 innings.
