THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Four Thomas University pitchers combined to strike out nine Florida Memorial University batters in TU's 11-6 loss Saturday afternoon at Varnedoe Stadium.

TU split the first two games of the set, winning 9-2, then falling 6-2, in Friday's double header.

Starting pitcher
Alex Friesen (5.0 IP, 6H, 5ER, 1BB) struck out five FMU batters, then
Logan Knight (1.0 IP) sat down one,
Brandon Steele (2.1 IP) struck out two and
Bradley Peacock (0.2 IP) fanned one.

The Night Hawks collected 10 hits, with
Khadin Bastian,
Luis Rodriguez-Gallo and
Bradley Fleenor each connecting on a pair of hits. Gallo tagged his eighth double of the season and Fleenor racked up three RBI for TU.

Matthew Delay, Jr., connected on his first home run of the season, a solo shot in the eighth.

The Night Hawks are now 13-20 overall and 2-7 in the Sun Conference.

Thomas next travels to Lake Wales, Fla., to face Sun Conference opponent Warner University in a three-game set. Friday's first pitch is at 6:30 p.m., then Saturday's double header begins at noon.
