THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas University's
Jose Class Jr. hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to seal the 14-2 victory over Edward Waters University Tuesday at Varnedoe Stadium.

Class was one of six Night Hawks to connect on eight extra base hits in the non-conference matchup.
Luis Rodriguez-Gallo hit a two-run bomb as well as a pair of doubles in the game and
Cam Williams added a two-run homer for TU.

Brooks Rikeman all added doubles in Thomas' 12th victory of the season.

After a scoreless first inning, EWU plated one run in the second, and TU answered with five in the bottom of the frame. Thomas added one in the third and two in the fourth, taking an 8-1 lead into the fifth. Edward Waters connected on an RBI double to score one in the sixth, and in the bottom of the sixth, a two-run homer by Gallo and a grand slam from Class gave Thomas the 14-2 victory.

Bradley Peacock pitched the first 5.2 innings for Thomas, striking out three, allowing two runs and scattering six hits.
Savian Loor closed for TU, striking out one and holding EWU scoreless in 1.1 innings.

Gallo collected three hits, while Delay and
Kason Buie each connected with a pair of hits.
Bradley Fleenor drew three walks.

The Night Hawks return to Varnedoe Stadium this Friday and Saturday to host Sun Conference foe Florida Memorial University. First pitch of Friday's double header is at 1 p.m. Saturday the final game of the series starts at 1 p.m.
