Night Hawks make National Tournament

Thomas University Night Hawks 2022-23
The Thomas University Night Hawks Men's Basketball team continued to make history this season by earning the University's first-ever berth into the NAIA Basketball Tournament.  On Thursday, Thomas learned of its fate, when at 8:03 pm, the NAIA announced that the Night Hawks will be the #12 seed in the Naismith Region of the National basketball tournament.  The Night Hawks will travel to Alexandria, LA to face the LSU Shreveport Pilots, from Shreveport, LA.  The two other teams in the pod are Huntington (IN) and Pikeville (KY).

The opening rounds of the NAIA Basketball Tournament will be held on Tuesday, March 7 and Wednesday, March 8.  Thomas will open competition at 4pm ET on Tuesday.  The final rounds of the tournament will be held at Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, MO from March 13-18. 

Cotter Named COTY for Men's Basketball for Sun ConferenceIn addition to Thomas making their first ever appearance in the NAIA tournament, Thomas tied a program record in victories with 18, finish the highest it has ever finish in the Sun Conference (Tied Second), and boasted the Sun Conference Coach of the Year in Colin Cotter.

Head Coach, Colin Cotter, stated after learning of the selection, "I am incredibly proud of this team and coaching staff.  It is a testament to our hard work and dedication this year.  We are excited for this opportunity."
