Hattiesburg, MS- The Thomas University women's basketball team(1-5, 1-2) traveled to Mississippi to take on William Carey University(6-0, 1-0) on Saturday afternoon.
In the first half of play, the Night Hawks would shoot 39% from the field, 42% from three, and 70% from the free throw line. As the half expired, Thomas would themselves down 47-34.
After returning from half time, Thomas would score 16 points in the third quarter. However, despite their effort on offense, the Night Hawks would give up 20 points to William Carey. In the fourth period, the Crusaders' defense would hold the Night Hawks to just 5 points. William Carey would ultimately take a 87-55 point victory.
In the contest, Dejah Wilson led the Night Hawks with 11 points. Sheridan Green would record 10 points and 5 assists. Tieraney Bolton would add 9 points in 17 minutes of play.
NEXT UP: Thomas will travel to Lake Wales, FL on November 22nd to take on Warner University in a non-conference game. Tip off is set for 4:00 PM.
