Mont Vernon, GA | The Night Hawks defeated the Barons, 2-0, in SSAC play on Saturday. The victory by Thomas raises their record to 7-5-1 (3-2-1 SSAC).
Kaitlyn Herb was the star of the game, with three points on the day. Herb scored a goal and assisted on another for the Night Hawks.
In the 43' Herb set
Elebeth Anderson up for the first goal of the day for the Night Hawks. She added an insurance goal for Thomas in the 89', to seal the victory for Thomas.
Ali Baca led the Night Hawks in attempts, with two shots-on-goal.
Hannah Keene went the distance in the goal, facing four shots-on-goal, on nine Brewton-Parker attempts. Thomas was able to draw nine corner attempts, compared to five for the Barons.
Thomas will be at home this week. They face Faulkner at 1PM on Thursday, and Point on Saturday at 1PM.
