THOMASVILLE, GA- The Thomas University softball team officially announced its full schedule Wednesday morning for the upcoming 2023 season. The schedule features a 40+ game slate, with 11 contests taking place in Thomasville at Armory Field.  

 

This season's schedule will see the Night Hawks face off against 19 different opponents, with an appearance in one tournament and several never-before played opponents. 

 

To open the 2023 season, TU will travel to Trinity Baptist for  doubleheader action on February 4th. The Green and White will then continue their road slate at Florida National for a doubleheader matchup on February 11th. 

 

Thomas will then face off against Point University for the first time in program history on February 17th, before competing against Reinhardt on February 18th for a pair of games.

 

The Night Hawks will then hit the clay against the Knights of Middle Georgia for doubleheader action on February 25th. 

 

Next up, the Green and White will travel to Gulf Shores, Ala for the annual Gulf Shores Tournament starting on March 3rd and ending on March 5th. TU will start off their tournament appearance facing off against William Baptist on March 3rd, followed by Stillman College and Campbellsive on March 4th. TU will conclude their trip to Gulf Shores, Ala by facing off against Baker and William Carey for a Sunday action showdown on March 5th.

 

TU's SUN Conference opener will be the following weekend, as the Marieners' from Coastal Georgia travel to Armory Field. 

 

Another week-long break will bring Thomas into mid-March play, first traveling to Miami Gardens to face St.Thomas University.

 

Next, on March 24th and 25th the Night Hawks will compete against the defending Conference Champions; Warriors of Webber International who competed against TU in last year's SUN Conference Tournament in a nail biting 10 inning matchup.

 

TU will return on the road (March 28th and 29th) for a contest against Southeastern University who made an appearance at the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round and World Series. 

 

The Green and White will return home for a while, starting off with Ave Maria on March 31st and April 1st. TU continues their home slate against Keiser University April 7th and 8th, before turning around to Miami Gardens to face off against Florida Memorial on April 14th and 15th.

 

Thomas will have a pair of games against Point University on March 18th, before wrapping up their road slate against Warner University on April 21st and 22nd.

 

The final match of the season will take place against Trinity Baptist with the addition of Senior Day festivities on April  28th.
