THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University women's soccer team defeated St. Thomas University, 4-1, in the quarterfinal round of the Sun Conference Championship Saturday morning at the TU Soccer Complex.

With the win, Thomas (9-4-4, 3-2-3) will face No. 1 Keiser University (17-0-1, 8-0) Tuesday, Nov. 8 at 11 a.m. in West Palm Beach, Fla., in the semifinal round.

On Saturday, St. Thomas struck first with a goal off a penalty kick in the 21st minute, but just seven minutes later, Ali Baca found Sasha Manders to tie the match at one.

Seven minutes into the second half, Thomas attacked with a pair of shots from Jana Pastorek and Baca. Then in the 55th minute, Manders sent a corner kick in to Brittney Rankins, who found the back of the net, giving Thomas the 2-1 edge.

Just 13 minutes later, Baca scored TU's third goal off an assist from Analeleice Wilkes.

The Night Hawks notched their final goal as time expired in the match, when Pastorek scored with an assist by Emma Dahlqvist.

Goalkeeper Emily Lamoreaux made six saves in net for the green and white.

The Night Hawks outshot the Bobcats 9-7 on goal and 19-10 overall. Thomas also took seven corner kicks to St. Thomas' three. Â
