Night Hawks End Season in Semifinals of Sun Tournament

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Thomas University women's soccer team ended the 2022 season in the semifinals of the Sun Conference Tournament Tuesday afternoon with a 3-0 loss to No. 1 Keiser University at Arrigo-Veellio Field.

"I couldn't be more proud to coach this group," said Head Coach Julie Orlowski. "We overcame a great deal of adversity this season and fell just short of our goal to play in the final."

Thomas had the first scoring opportunity just 30 seconds into the match when a shot from Sasha Manders bounced off the crossbar.

Top-ranked Keiser got on the board in the 11th minute, taking the 1-0 lead.

Heading into the half, Keiser held a shot advantage of 13-2, with 6-1 on goal.

In the 57th minute, TU goalkeeper Emily Lamoreaux made a diving stop for one of her 13 saves in the game.

Keiser added two more goals in the second half to take the 3-0 victory.

Analeice Wilkes and Sophia Papas each recorded a shot on goal for the Night Hawks

"All of the credit goes to our strong senior leadership on this team," added Orlowski. "We have come a long way as a program since this point last season. I look forward to taking another big step forward starting next week with our training."

TU ends the season 9-5-4 overall and 3-2-3 in the league.
