MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Sophomore
Mahogany Menefee drained 27 points in Thomas University's 75-52 loss to Cumberland University Friday in the Jimmy Faulkner Classic.
The native of Portland, Ore., went 8-of-19 from the field, hitting a trio of treys, and made 8-of-9 at the line. She also added four assists, three rebounds and a steal for the Night Hawks.

Lenise Santiago was a perfect 4-of-4 at the stripe on her way to nine points.
The Night Hawk defense forced the Phoenix into 23 turnovers, but Cumberland's offense outscored Thomas 42-14 in the paint.
After a back-and-forth first quarter, Cumberland took the 13-12 lead with 14 seconds left in the period. The Phoenix led by as many as 13 in the second quarter, and went into the half with the 36-26 edge. Thomas was outscored 39-26 in the second half to drop to 0-3 on the season.
The Night Hawks return to the hardwood tomorrow, Nov. 5, to face Milligan University in the Jimmy Faulkner Classic held in Montgomery, Ala.
