Senior Day Vibes: TU Continues Successful Season

THOMASVILLE, GA-  The Women's Swim competed in their final home meet of the year on Saturday afternoon, which marked Senior Day for one athlete. 

 

The Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay team notched first place with a time of 2:00.85. Sophomore Laura Garcia Zapater finished in first place with a time of 12:18.13 in the 1000 Yard freestyle. Freshman Lucia Roca competed in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:07.56. Senior Nissrine Bourbouh notched a first place finish on her last home meet with a time of 1:11.34. The Ryad Al Maarifa native also competed in the 200 Yard IM, taking second place 2:43.10. Zapater took second place in the 100 Yard Breast with a time of 1:17.26. Freshman Aspen Shipp took first place in the 200 Yard Fly with a time of 2:23.76. Lucia took first place in the 50 Yard Free with a time of 26.99. The Opelousas, La native also competed in the 200 Yard Back, taking first place with a time of 2:20.74. Shipp concluded her day in the 100 Yard Fly, taking a first place finish with a time of 1:04.15.

 

Thomas took first place overall as a team.
