LAKE WALES, FLA- The Thomas University Men's Soccer team had a taste of redemption on Monday morning after defeating the Royals of Warner University. 

The Night Hawks (6-5-4, 3-2-2) started off the game physical after dropping three fouls in the first fifteen minutes of play. Eventually the Night Hawks were able to settle down and find the back of the net with a goal from Freshman Luiz Anchieta that was assisted by Sophomore Connor Parry in the 18th minute. Parry decided to join in the fun with an assist by Freshman Ryan Sims in the 23rd minute to give the Night Hawks the two goal lead, which startled the Royals (4-7-0, 1-4-0). Warner University struggled to find an answer as the Blue and Gold did not have a shot taken the entire first half.

Entering the second half, Thomas continued to try their chances in the net to boast their lead. Warner defense had no answer for the Green and White as Junior Jojo Lescher continued to rise the Night Hawks lead in the 79th minute with an assist by Ryan Sims. Luiz Anchieta continued his scoring festival with another goal late in the second half on the 80th minute to seal the 4-0 win for the Night Hawks.

Warner concluded the day with a total of three shots and two on goal. The Royals also had four shots and one corner kick. Thomas dominated every category with fifteen shots and eight on goal. The Green and White also had two saves and three corner kicks.

WHAT'S NEXT: TU will have a few days to prepare for their contest on Thursday against #10 Georgia Gwinnett College. Kick off is set for 7pm in Lawerenceville, Ga.
