THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's soccer team were limited in chances Saturday afternoon, as the Night Hawks were bested by #1 William Carey 6-0 at TU Soccer Complex.
TU (3-3) was outshot by the Crusaders (8-0) 24-4 in a contest that saw the Green & White wait for WCU to make the first move. Sophomore Goalkeeper Trinity Chastain made her second start of the season, finishing with nine saves in a full 90 minutes played.
Of the four shots taken, three were on goal. Sophomore defender
Jade Slaybaugh owned two, as Junior
Jana Pastorek and Sophomore
Kayley Smith recorded a shot apiece.
Thomas went toe-to-toe with the Crusaders for the first 14 minutes of the contest, not allowing the NAIA's top team a shot for nearly six minutes. WCU quickly added pressure, resulting in two goals before the 19th minute was played.
