THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's soccer team is set to begin its final week of the Spring 2021 season Wednesday, travelling to Lawrenceville, Ga. to face #10 Georgia Gwinnett College for a second time before finishing at home Saturday against Florida National University for Senior Day.

The Night Hawks (3-3-1) could not have asked for better momentum heading into Wednesday's match, defeating Faulkner Saturday with a 2-0 score line.  The Hunter Green & White ride a four-game unbeaten streak, outscoring the opposition 8-4 in that span.

Senior Salvador Marin has been hot since his recent return, leading the team with three goals in just three games played.  Junior Diego Azar heads into the final week with one goal and three assists on the season.  Sophomore Josh Ricord (3-0-1) come off his second career shutout, averaging one goal allowed and three and a half saves a match.

#10 GGC (8-0-2) is on a quest to complete its first-ever unbeaten regular season, and the Night Hawks are the only team that stands in their way.  The Grizzlies average 2.5 goals scored a game with 7.4 shots on goal (SOG.  Karim Tmimi and Toni Tiente lead the team in Points (13); Tmimi is the goal-scoring leader for the Grizzlies with six while Tiente is the playmaker, leading the team with seven assists.  Goalkeeper Matija Gligorovic boasts the fifth-best GAA in NAIA (0.31) with a .875 Save Percentage.

The Night Hawks fell to the Grizzlies earlier this season at home with a 3-0 setback.

Florida National (5-2) may be in its third year of Men's soccer, but the Conquistadors have adapted quickly to become one of NAIA's most underrated teams.  In the Spring alone, FNU's lone loss came against RV Southeastern off a golden goal in the second set of extra time.

Blas Barrancos is the clear-cut finisher of the squad with seven of the squad's 18 total goals of the season, posting a 51.7% SOG Percentage.  Keeper Victor Ruiz Lasso (5-0) has been exceptional in net, allowing only one goal, while saving over 94% of shots faced.

Saturday will mark the second-ever meeting between Thomas and Florida National, with the Night Hawks defeating the Conquistadors last year 3-0.
