LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – While the RV Thomas University Women's soccer team kept the resurging Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies at bay, the Night Hawks could not overcome a second-minute goal that would ultimately be the match's lone score, falling to GGC 1-0 Wednesday evening at the Grizzly Soccer Complex.
TU (5-5-1) struggled offensively, only registering four shots compared to GGC's 18. Sophomores
Hadas Prawer and
Jana Pastorek recorded the team's shots, with both of Pastorek's shots on target.
Freshman Goalkeeper
Emily Lamoreaux notched seven saves in the contest, recording her highest save percentage (.875) in the Lake City, Fla. product's young NAIA career.
The Night Hawks will look to lock up a winning season Saturday when the team hosts Faulkner University for Senior Day. Kickoff is set for a 1:30 p.m. fixture.
