THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's soccer team's season was underway Sunday afternoon, but Keiser University showed the fans at TU Soccer Complex the performance of a defending National Champion, defeating the Hunter Green & White 3-1 in brisk conditions.
The Seahawks (13-1-1, 8-1 TSC) limited Thomas (0-1) to just five shots on goal, but the Night Hawks made its shots count. TU had three Shots on Goal, including its lone goal in the 88th minute by Sophomore Midfielder
Ayla Aiduck, who was in the right place at the right time to score on the rebound after a shot from Sophomore Forward
Jana Pastorek bounced off Keiser Keeper Julie McClellan.
In her NAIA debut, Freshman Keeper
Emily Lamoreaux faced a massive 26 shots, 11 of which were on target. The Lake City, Fla. product recorded seven saves, including a mid-air block on a shot from KU's Emma Holmskov.
The Night Hawks are back on the pitch Sunday, as the team travels to Jacksonville, Fla. to take on the Tigers of Edward Waters College. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
