MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Thomas University Women's basketball team could not overcome Faulkner's red-hot offense in the second and fourth quarters, as the Eagles handled the Lady Night Hawks 74-50 at the Tine Davis Gymnasium.
TU (2-14, 2-13 TSC) had 67 shot attempts, the most for the Hunter Green & White this season, but only converted 18 of those shots, giving Thomas its lowest percentage from the field on the season (26.9%). The Lady Night Hawks also struggled from the free throw line, converting just over 38% from the charity stripe.

Alexis Powell led the Lady Night Hawks in scoring with 14 points, including 50% from downtown. Senior Guard
Alisha Clayton was once again one point shy of recording a double-double (9 points, 12 rebounds).
1st Period (TU 13, FLK 5)
- A good basket from Sophomore Guard Gabrielle Jester at the 5:29 ignited an 8-1 scoring run for TU that lasted the rest of the quarter
- The Lady Night Hawks stifled Faulkner's scoring offense, limiting the Eagles to 13.3% from the field and shutting down its 3-Pt. attack (0-for-6)
4th Period (FLK 74, TU 50)
- The quarter provided lots of offense from both sides, but Faulkner outscored TU 25-20
- Senior Forward Destiny Reed notched eight of her nine total points in the quarter
- Thomas shot over 41% from the floor
