LAKE WALES, Fla. – In a close contest throughout, it came down to the last second to determine a winner, but unfortunately, as fate would have it, the Thomas University Women's basketball team fell just one basket shy of Warner, as the Royals edged the Lady Night Hawks 58-56 Thursday evening at the Turner Athletic Center.
The Hunter Green & White (2-15, 2-14 TSC) shot just over 37% from the floor as a whole, but the Lady Night Hawks 3-Pt. game struggled, going 1-for-12 (8.3%) from beyond the perimeter.
Senior Forward
Destiny Reed finished the day with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Senior Guard
Alexis Powell shot over 45% from the field, tallying 11 points with two assists. Senior Guard
Alisha Clayton notched seven points with ten boards and four assists before fouling out.
Despite the game outcome, Thomas made history in Lake Wales, setting an all-time school record with just three turnovers given up.
