MIAMI, Fla – The SUN Conference (SUN) released the 2021-22 Men's Indoor track and field Preseason Poll Thursday morning, picking the Night Hawks to finish fourth on the season.
The Preseason Polls are determined by the votes of the nine coaches in the conference. The defending conference champions, Southeastern University, were tabbed to keep their crown, receiving 47 points (six first-place votes). Keiser sits in second place with 40 points (one first-place vote). Thomas and SCAD-Savannah both tied with 24 points.
The Warner Royals were chosen to finish sixth with 22 points, Florida Memorial finishing seventh with 17 points. Webber International rounds out the poll in eighth with 11 points.
The Night Hawks will look to move up the charts with their incoming freshman class that includes Freshman Elias Lopez-Gomez that made an impact on the Cross Country Program. Thomas will also bring back several returners such as Junior Devin Crews who competes in the 200m and 400m for Thomas.
The Night Hawks will kick off their historic indoor season this Saturday at the Baron Invitational hosted by Brewton- Parker College.
