THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University Men's swimming team once again had a strong showing Saturday afternoon, defeating the Gyrenes 120-64 on Senior Day at Butler-Mason YMCA.
The Night Hawks won all but the 100-Yard Freestyle, as AMU's Peter Anderson edged out Freshman
Chase Parman for the event title.
While TU did not win every event, the Green & White saw four swimmers hit the NAIA's provisional cut. Freshmen
Ty LaRue,
Diego Alonso, and
Ethan Kilgore hit their mark for the second time this season, as Senior
Wyatt Dalton hit his first cut in the 100-yard Backstroke with a time of 0:54.28. Alonso's 1:59.36 time in the 200-yard Individual Medley now ranks the Spaniard in the Top 10 category. LaRue's time in the 500-yard Freestyle (4:50.24) is also now a Top 10 time in NAIA this season. Kilgore's official time in the 100-yard Butterfly was 0:52.71.
