Night Hawks Stung by RV Bees

HARDEEVILLE, S.C. – The Thomas University Women's soccer team fell on the unlucky side of chances, as the Night Hawks were blanked 4-0 by RV SCAD-Savannah Saturday afternoon at the SCAD Athletics Complex.

Despite the scoreline, TU (6-9, 1-6 TSC) had a better showing offensively, recording 18 shots on the day, its fourth-highest total of the season.  Junior Jana Pastorek led the Green & White in shot totals with five, followed by Graduate Taylor Hults with three.  Sophomore Goalkeeper Trinity Chastain made seven saves while facing 25 shots from the opposition.

The Bees (11-5-1, 5-2-1 SUN) recorded three of the team's four scores in the first half, with the first goal recorded in the 23rd minute.  SCAD-Savannah managed to outshot TU 17-6 in the first 45 minutes of action.

Thomas had more offensive control in the second half with 12 shots compared to the Bees' eight.

TU is back home for its next outing on the pitch, facing the Royals of Warner University Thursday.  Kickoff for that match is scheduled for 4 p.m.
