THOMASVILLE, GA — The Thomas University Men's soccer team will host SCAD Savannah at the TU Soccer Complex Wednesday, October 13th.
Thomas (4-5-1, 0-3-1 SUN) enters the contest coming off two disappointing losses last week that saw the Night Hawks fall to SUN conference opponents Webber International and Warner University.
Most recently, the Men faced Warner on Saturday, and despite outshooting the Royals, the Night Hawks struggled to net a goal as Warner won the contest with a 1-0 scoreline.
The Bees from SCAD-Savannah have struggled to start the season at 2-3-5, and are winless in the SUN Conference sitting at 0-1-2.
After sitting a year out due to Covid-19, SCAD has picked up ties against Conference opponents Warner University and Webber International University, but, most recently, the team lost its toughest matchup of the season so far last week to #2 Keiser University 2-0.
The Bees are led offensively by Sophomore midfielder Phillip Holtgen who leads the team in both goals (3) and points (6). Defensively, in the net, freshman keeper Connor Friel has a .809 save percent with 32 saves..
It's been over two years since the teams have faced each other, and over four years since the Bees have traveled to the Rose City. All time, Thomas hold a 5-4 edge in victories, dating back to 2013.
Kickoff against SCAD is slated for 1 PM. Fans can tune into the match by following the links below:
