BRUNSWICK, Ga. – The Thomas University Women's basketball team went into Coffin Gym looking for its second win of the season, but a 17-point deficit at the half was too much to overcome, as TU was defeated 86-67 Thursday evening.
Thomas (1-9, 1-9 TSC) had a tough time shooting from the field (30.9%) and only made two of its nine shot attempts beyond the arc. Coastal Georgia (7-6, 5-5 TSC), on the other hand, shot over 48% from the field. Senior Guard
Alisha Clayton (10 pts., 16 reb.) notched her third double-double of the season. The Gainesville, Fla. native's board total is the second-most in a game in her career. Sophomore Guards
Emiah Downie and Amayla Sharif scored 11 and ten points, respectively, to contribute to the scoring load. The Lady Night Hawks were also just under 70% from the charity stripe.
