THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's soccer team defeated Trinity College (Fla.), 11-0, Saturday afternoon at the TU Soccer Complex.

The Night Hawks netted eight goals in the first half and three in the second stanza. TU outshot TC 16-2 overall and 12-1 on goal. 

Rene Rivera led TU with three goals, and Salvador Marin netted a pair of goals and had two assists. Gavin Rochford-Smith also recorded two goals and tallied one assist for TU. 

Mateo Arbelaez scored one goal and recorded one assist while Sam Eyes, Shemuel Wilson and Selwyn Slotegraaf each found the back of the net. Jack Chambers, Henry Jones and Nicola Monelli each posted an assist in the shutout. 

Thomas opens conference play Sept. 25, hosting Webber International at 1 p.m. at the TU Soccer Complex.
