THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University women's soccer team defeated Life (Ga.) University, 6-2 Friday at the TU Soccer Complex. 

TU improves to 2-2 on the season and Life falls to 0-3. 

Six Night Hawks scored a goal and five TU players tallied an assist, as Jonna Wittwer recorded two. Jana Pastorek attempted seven shots, four on goal, scoring one and notching one assist to lead TU offensively. 

Goalkeeper Lucy Apps made three saves and allowed two goals in 78:17, then Jordin Sanchez finished the match, saving two shots. 

In the 21st minute, Wittwer sent a ball to Pastorek, who played a through ball for Jahziah Samuels-Williams to net her first goal of the season. 

Just 30 seconds later, Life tied the match at one apiece, then took the 2-1 lead in the 34th minute. 

Eight minutes before the half, TU knotted the score at two as Jana Pastorek finished her third goal of the season. 

The second period was all Thomas, as the Night Hawks scored three goals in five minutes, then added a sixth and final goal in the 86th minute. 

At 62:02, Ayla Aiduck sent a cross for Analeice Wilkes to finish up close to the net, her first goal of the season. Four minutes later, Life was issued a yellow card, and Taylor Hults buried a penalty kick in the bottom left corner of the net. Then at 66:40, Hadas Prawer pushed a through ball to Wittwer, who sent a first time ball to the net for Emily Linscer to finish. 

Yunuen Medina kicked a through ball to Brianna Fanning, who finished in the bottom left side of the net for TU's final goal at 85:06. 

Thomas wraps up its stretch of three straight home matches on Sept. 8, when the Night Hawks face Shorter (Ga.) University at 2 p.m. at the TU Soccer Complex.
