LAKE WALES, Fla. – Freshman first baseman
Michaela Farr went 4-for-6 at the plate in Thomas University's two losses to Warner University Wednesday afternoon at Daly Field.
Thomas lost 3-2 and 5-4 to the Royals, falling to 17-19 overall and to fifth place in the Sun Conference with an 11-9 record. Warner is 23-9 with a fourth-place 9-7 mark.
Thomas has four home dates remaining on its 2019 regular season schedule. The Night Hawks will honor their seniors this weekend, as TU takes on College of Coastal Georgia April 13 at 2 and 4 p.m. at Armory Field.
Then Thomas hosts No. 4 Georgia Gwinnett College (April 14), Faulkner University (April 17) and Warner University (April 24).
Game One
Thomas scored one run in the third, then Warner tied the game in the sixth and each team plated one in the seventh. TU was unable to score in the top of the eighth, but Warner scored on a base hit to left center to earn the 3-2 win.
The Night Hawks connected on eight hits, including four doubles, but left seven runners on base.
Farr was 2-for-3 with a double, and shortstop

Barbara Woll were each 2-for-4 with a double. Second baseman
Hannah Wilde had an RBI double for TU.
Pitcher
Sheala Brown went the distance for Thomas, allowing just one earned run from eight hits and one walk in 7.1 innings.
Game Two
It took Warner seven full innings to defeat Thomas, 5-4, in game two. TU scored one run in the top of the fourth, then Warner plated a pair in the fifth. The Night Hawks then scored three more in the top of the seventh, but Warner scored three runs from two hits and a TU error to win the game.
Woll was 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles, one RBI, a run scored and one stolen base. Designated hitter
Addyson Mauldin and Farr were each 2-for-3 at the plate and leftfielder
Gaby Mora connected on a two-RBI double down the left field line in the seventh inning.
Pitcher
Rebecca Boesen (8-7) struck out three while allowing four earned runs from six hits and four walks.
