LAKELAND, Fla. – The Thomas University women's basketball team lost, 89-30, to No. 4 Southeastern University Saturday afternoon in Sun Conference action.
Thomas falls to 10-18 overall and 7-10 in the league, which is sixth in the standings. Southeastern stands at the top of the conference with a 23-2 overall and 16-0 TSC mark.
SEU jumped out to an early 31-5 lead, then Thomas outscored the Fire 13-11 in the second quarter to trail 42-18 at the half. Southeastern took a commanding third quarter, 26-1, then also won the fourth, 21-11.
Dymon Brown led Thomas with nine points, knocking down three shots from long range.
Akasha Williams grabbed eight rebounds and swiped a pair of steals.
Thomas concludes the regular season Feb. 16, facing College of Coastal Georgia in Brunswick, Ga.
