WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. –
Alisha Clayton scored 13 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in Thomas University's 79-57 loss to Keiser University (Fla.) at the Student Life Center.
Clayton was 6-of-12 from the field and hit one free throw, and had two steals and one assist for TU (0-6, 0-4).
Samantha Gilbert added 10 points and three rebounds while
Alexis Powell swiped five steals, scored eight points and grabbed a pair of rebounds.
Ashley Bostick dished out four assists.
Keiser (5-4, 1-2), which was led by Midori Long's 19 points and 17 rebounds, took a one point lead after the first quarter, then extended the margin to 17 by the half. Keiser outscored TU 26-19 in the third period, then Thomas edged Keiser 18-16 in the fourth quarter.
Thomas scored 36 points in the paint, swiped 14 steals and forced Keiser into 18 turnovers.
TU next faces Johnson & Wales University in North Miami, Fla., on Dec. 7 at 2 p.m.
