DOUGLAS, GA. – The Thomas University women's swimming team competed in a dual at South Georgia State College on Saturday, falling 173-138 in the team event.

The relay team of
Chardonay Tophia,
Hope McNair,
Kyndall Cardoso and
Marien Rincon Medina won the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:57.68 and the 400-yard freestyle relay team of Tophia, McNair,
Maggie Davis and Cardoso touched the wall at 3:54.36 to win the event.
Davis placed second in the 1000-yard freestyle, touching the wall at 11:21.64, and won the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 1:01.85.
Tophia won the 200-yard freestyle, finishing at 2:08.47, and Mary Lou Kalaitzis was close behind in second at 2:08.53.
In the 50-yard freestyle, McNair was second (26.92) and Rincon took fourth (27.25), then Cardoso won the 400-yard IM (4:52.96).
Three Night Hawks finished in the top four in the 100-yard freestyle with Tophia winning the event (58.67), trailed by second place Rincon (59.68) and fourth place Kalaitzis (1:03.34).
Cardoso and Davis finished first and second in the 500-yard freestyle with times of 5:28.23 and 5:33.91, respectively.
McNair swam to a second place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:14.73) and Rincon took fourth (1:18.34) in the event.
The Night Hawks next host South Georgia State and Point University Nov. 8 in Thomasville, Ga.
