LAKE WALES, Fla. – The Thomas University men's soccer team defeated Webber International University, 1-0, Wednesday afternoon at Warrior Field to earn its second straight Sun Conference road victory. 

The Night Hawks also defeated Ave Maria, 6-1, on Saturday. TU is now 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the league. 

On Wednesday, Rene Rivera netted TU's goal just 17 minutes into the match to give the Night Hawks the win. Rivera, Jack Chambers, Gavin Rochford-Smith and Sam Eyes each had four shot attempts. Goalkeeper Ben Barnes made three saves in 90 minutes in goal. 

TU outshot WIU 21-7 overall and 7-3 on goal. 

Thomas returns to the TU Soccer Complex to face No. 13 St. Thomas University Saturday at noon.
