THOMASVILLE, Ga. –
Micah Garvin scored 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds in Thomas University's 66-47 loss to No. 2 Southeastern Thursday night at the TU Gymnasium.
Thomas falls to 5-13 overall and 3-4 in Sun Conference play and Southeastern improves to 13-2 overall with a 6-0 league record.
Samantha Gilbert hit a pair of 3-pointers on her way to 14 points, and
Jewel Montisano added nine points, two rebounds, a pair of steals and an assist for TU.
Thomas fell behind early, trailing 18-9 after the first quarter. TU played SEU to a three-point second quarter, 10-13, but trailed 31-19 at the half. The Night Hawks again played a tough third quarter, outscoring SEU 19-17, but came up short in the fourth, 18-9.
Thomas continues Sun Conference play on Saturday, facing Ave Maria University at 2 p.m. at the TU Gymnasium.
