THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas University's
Micah Garvin netted 21 points in the Night Hawks' 64-60 loss to Ave Maria University Saturday afternoon at the TU Gymnasium.
TU falls to 5-13 overall and 3-5 in Sun Conference play, while Ave Maria improves to 14-3, 5-2.
Garvin also grabbed four rebounds and recorded three steals and one assist.
Jewel Montisano, who knocked down a trio of threes, added 11 points, four rebounds and two assists for TU.
After trailing 31-21 at the half, Thomas fought back to win the second stanza, 39-33.
The Night Hawks swiped nine steals and forced the Gyrenes into 11 turnovers. TU held Ave Maria to just 23.1 percent shooting from three.
Thomas continues its four game homestand Jan. 8 when the Night Hawks face Selma University at 5:30 p.m. in non-conference action.
