Box Score THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University men's soccer team lost, 2-1, to Missouri Baptist University Thursday afternoon at the TU Soccer Complex. 

Thomas falls to 0-2 while Missouri Baptist improved to 3-0 on the season. 

The Spartans struck first, scoring their first goal in the 21st minute. MBU sent a through ball into the box, and the first shot was saved by TU goalkeeper Lee Howarth, but MBU scored on the rebound shot. 

In the final minute of the first half, TU took a corner kick and the ball ricocheted off of the MBU goalkeeper, scoring an own goal. 

In the 73rd minute, Missouri Baptist scored the final and deciding goal of the match. 

Thomas next travels to Montgomery, Ala., to face Dalton State (Ga.) on Sept. 7, then Faulkner (Ala.) on Sept. 9.
