THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas University baseball scored in the eighth and ninth inning, but it wasn't enough as the Night Hawks lost, 9-2, to No. 4 Southeastern (Fla.) Friday night at Varnedoe Stadium.
TU drops to 8-9 overall and 2-5 in The Sun Conference while Northeastern improves to 17-0 (7-0 TSC).

Justin Young was tagged with the loss, allowing four runs from six hits in 4.0 innings.
SEU scored nine runs in the first seven innings, then Thomas scored one run in each of the final two frames. Thomas connected on nine hits, but left 11 players on base and posted five errors.
The Fire scored four runs over the first four innings, then tallied four runs on three hits, including a three-run homer in the sixth to take the 8-0 lead. SEU plated one more run in the seventh before TU scored.
In the bottom of the eighth,
Taylor Westbrook hit a one-out single, then scored after base hits from
Levi Hollingsworth and
Gavin Murphy.
In the final half inning, Kirkland tagged a leadoff double, then scored after an SEU error.
The teams face off in a double header Saturday, with the first pitch of game one at noon.
