THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Thomas University lost, 76-37, to No. 1 Southeastern (Fla.) Saturday afternoon at TU Gymnasium.
Jewell Montisano recorded 10 points, one block and one steal for the Night Hawks, who fall to 8-15 overall and 4-13 in the league.
De'Audra Copeland netted eight points and pulled down seven rebounds while
Arianna Anderson scored eight points and tallied two steals and a block against the nation's top team. SEU is a perfect 25-0 on the season and 16-0 in the conference.
SEU started fast, taking a 24-9 lead after the first quarter, then outscored Thomas 16-10 in the second quarter. Southeastern never let up in the second half, outscoring TU 20-11 in the third quarter and 16-7 in the fourth.
TU forced seven SEU turnovers in the first half and 21 for the game.
Thomas hit 80 percent (12-of-15) at the line in the game, led by perfect 4-of-4 nights from Anderson and Copeland.
The Night Hawks end the regular season on Feb. 17 when TU hosts Coastal Georgia at 2 p.m.
