THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Junior
Samantha Gilbert came off the bench to score 24 points in Thomas University's, 89-74, loss to Brewton-Parker College Tuesday night at the TU Gymnasium.
Gilbert's season-high 24 points came from 8-of-15 shooting from the field, including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and a 5-of-7 performance at the line. Gilbert added five rebounds and an assists in her 22 minutes.
Thomas falls to 3-7 on the season while Brewton-Parker improved to 6-3.
Three other Night Hawks scored in double-digits, as senior
Micah Garvin added 14 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal, senior
Dymon Brown had 12 points, an assist and a steal, and sophomore
Alisha Clayton put up 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
Brewton-Parker jumped out to a 29-14 lead after the first quarter, then added to the margin, taking a 57-26 edge at the break. Thomas outscored B-PC 48-32 in the second half, but could not overcome the first-half deficit.
TU hits the road for six-straight games away from home, beginning with a pair of Sun Conference matchups at Webber International University Dec. 6, then at Warner University Dec. 8.
