ALBANY, Ga. – The Thomas University women's basketball team lost, 70-33, to Albany State in exhibition action Tuesday night at The Arena at West Campus. 

ASU is an NCAA Division II team that plays in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). 

Micah Garvin led the Night Hawks with 10 points and six rebounds while Pkacia Johnson and Alisha Clayton each added six for TU. 

Thomas forced Albany State into 19 turnovers and scored nine points off of the Rams' miscues. 

The Night Hawks fell behind early, trailing 17-10 after the first quarter, then ASU opened the margin in the second quarter, taking a 35-14 lead at the half. The Rams outscored the Night Hawks 35-19 in the second half to take the 70-33 win. 

Thomas is back in Sun Conference action Thursday at Florida Memorial and Saturday at St. Thomas University, both in Miami Gardens, Fla.
