KENNESAW, Ga. – The Thomas University women's basketball team fell, 80-61, to Kennesaw State University in an exhibition game Thursday at the KSU Convocation Center.
KSU is an NCAA Division I women's basketball team that plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Senior
Micah Garvin dropped 13 points and grabbed eight rebounds while junior
Samantha Gilbert added 12 rebounds and four assists for the Night Hawks.
Thomas hit 9-of-10 at the line and made 40.4 percent (23-57) from the field while holding KSU to 37.7 percent (29-77) from the field.
The Night Hawk bench players outscored KSU's 18-4, but the Owls converted 36 points off of TU's 32 turnovers.
Thomas led, 31-30, at the half, but Kennesaw State outscored TU 33-8 in the third to run away with the win, despite the Night Hawks winning the fourth, 22-17.
TU next faces Middle Georgia State University on Nov. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in Macon, Ga.
