Samantha Gilbert led the Night Hawks with 13 points and added four steals and four rebounds, while senior
Micah Garvin netted 11 points with four rebounds and two assists. Sophomore
Alisha Clayton came off the bench to grab a team-high eight boards.
The Knights jumped out to a commanding 24-6 first quarter lead, and Thomas never caught up. After TU outscored MGSU 22-20 in the second quarter and 16-15 in the third, the Knights won the fourth by a 7-point margin to earn the victory.
Thomas next faces Selma University at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 7 in Selma, Ala.
