Night Hawks Split with Auburn Montgomery

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University baseball team split games with NCAA Division II Auburn University Montgomery on Saturday at Varnedoe Stadium. TU took the first game 9-1 and fell in the second game 9-5.

The Night Hawks went to 12-20 on the season, while the Warhawks went to 10-13 on the year. TU travels to play Middle Georgia State University, 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Cochran, Ga.

GAME ONE

Tanner Elsbernd went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and an RBI, while Jalbert Melo went 2-for-2 with three RBI's and two runs. Levi Hollingsworth went 2-for-2 with two runs and an RBI, while Reed Melcolm hit 2-for-2 with a run scored and an RBI.

Jordan Martin picked up the win on six innings pitched with one run on four hits and struck out six. Josh Roye threw the last inning with no runs on no hits.
