Night Hawks Split with Trinity Baptist

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Thomas University baseball team split a double header with Trinity Baptist College (Fla.), 10-8 and 2-0, on Wednesday.

The Night Hawks went to 2-3 on the season, while the Eagles went to 1-4.

GAME ONE
The Night Hawks used a five-run fifth inning and scored two runs in the ninth to collect the victory.

Jalbert Melo went 2-for-6 with three RBI's in the game, while Tanner Elsbernd went 1-for-3 with two runs scored. Wyatt Petrey went 2-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI as the designed hitter.

Josh Roye pitched 5.1 innings with six runs, four earned, on nine hits and a strike out in the no decision. Jacob Moye collected his first win of the season with 2.2 innings pitched with two runs on one hit and struck out four. Ryan Pierce generated the save on an inning pitched with no runs on no hits and struck out two.
