Thomas Women's Soccer Postgame Report - Johnson & Wales
THOMASVILLE, Ga. -
Kaleigh Premo's golden goal in the 96th minute was the dagger to Johnson & Wales (Fla.) in Thomas' critical 2-1 overtime win in Sun Conference (TSC) action Saturday afternoon at TU Soccer Complex. The Night Hawks remain undefeated (6-0-1) all-time against the Wildcats, earning their third-straight win in the series by one goal while ending a four-game losing streak overall on TASA Girls Day.

Julie Orlowski is three wins shy of 50 during her time on the Magnolia Campus. Thomas (6-7-1, 3-5 TSC) is unbeaten (9-0-1) in its last 10 matches when allowing one goal or less.
The Night Hawks sit one game behind Johnson & Wales (7-7, 4-5 TSC) for the final spot in the upcoming league tournament in November with two games to play in the regular season - at home versus Webber International (Fla.) on Wednesday, Oct. 25 and at Florida Memorial on Saturday, Oct. 28.

Sierra Robinson were honored as part of Senior Day festivities for their hard work and dedication to the program during the previous four years. Thomas (6-7-1, 3-5 TSC) won its third-straight Senior Day match.
"Today was all about the seniors," Orlowski said. "I thought it was a do-or-die game for us. I thought that we played very, very well in all aspects of the game."
Orlowski's squad dominated offensively, outshooting Johnson & Wales 32-6, but did not get on the board until the 76th minute when
Anna Gray played a ball into the box to
Whitley Anderson (8), whose header beat Wildcat netminder Ashley Buchanan into the bottom left corner of the net.
In the 80th minute, Haylee Gordon played a long pass to Savannah Jackson (16), who chipped a shot from 25 yards out to tie the affair, setting the stage for Premo's heroics in the extra frame.
Following a Wildcat foul just inside the box, a Taylor free kick bounced around in front of the net off
Kayla Folse before being collected and finished by Premo (1).
Taylor ended with a game-high eight shots, as 12 different Night Hawks posted at least one. Premo tallied two shots on goal, while seven other players had one. Â
Jackson and Karen Rodriguez each had one shot on goal in the loss.
Robinson made the start between the pipes and played the first half, making one save. Goalkeeper
Kara Houston (5-7-1) played the final 50:13 to earn the victory.
Buchanan (0-1) made seven stops in 95:13 in defeat.
The Night Hawks held an edge in corner kicks, 5-4.
