Night Hawks Fall to Union in Tournament Finale

ATHENS, Tenn. – The Thomas University women's soccer team fell to Union College (Ky.), 1-0, on Monday in the finale on the Tennessee Wesleyan tournament.

 The Night Hawks fell to 0-4 on the season, while the Bulldogs went to 1-3 on the year. TU travels to Gainesville, Ga. to play Brenau University (Ga.) 2 p.m. Saturday.

"We had many, many opportunities to score in the first half," TU coach Julie Orlowski said. "We hit the crossbar, but could not put one in the back of the net in the first half. They scored on somewhat of a crazy play. Again, we had opportunities in the second half, but couldn't find the net. But overall I'm pleased with our performance, we just have to find a way to score."

Teresa Brown scored the only goal of the game in the 47th minute.

TU outshot the Bulldogs 10-3 in the first half.

Sirra Robinson generated three saves in 56 minutes of play, while Kara Houston collected three saves in 35 minutes of play.
