Night Hawks Knock Off No. 2 Keiser in Overtime

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University women's soccer team pulled off a 1-0 upset over second-ranked Keiser University (Fla.) in overtime. TU gave Keiser its first loss of the season.

The Night Hawks improved to 8-8, 7-2 in The Sun Conference, while the Seahawks went to 15-1, 8-1 in TSC. TU ends the regular season 4:30 p.m. at SCAD Savannah.

Senior Luciane Wentz scored the only goal of the game a minute and a half into the first overtime period for her first goal of the season, on a day the Night Hawks celebrated senior day. Katy Hanscomb sent in a corner kick from the left side of the field. The ball bounced around the 6-yard box before Wentz collected the ball and beat the Keiser goalie on the near side.

Kara Houston collected three saves in goal for the Night Hawks.
