Night Hawks Outlast Johnson & Wales 1-0

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The Thomas University women's soccer team came away with a 1-0 victory over Johnson & Wales (Fla.) Thursday at the TU Soccer Complex. Linnea Roivas netted the only goal of the game.

The Night Hawks improved to 7-8, 6-2 in The Sun Conference, while the Wildcats fell to 4-9-2, 2-5-1 in TSC. TU plays its final home game of the season 2:30 p.m. Saturday against No. 2 Keiser University (Fla.) for senior day.

The only goal of the game was scored in the 82nd minute off a corner kick. Milene Anstett delivered the ball that was deflected by Luciane Wentz and finished by Roivas.

The Night Hawks outshot the Wildcats 20-7 in the game.

Kara Houston collected five saves in goal for the Night Hawks.
